February 22-23, 2020. A two day in person extensive barre certification course. A NASM and AFAA provider, this Barre training course prepares instructors and trainers to teach a barre class or private training session with or without a ballet barre. It is highly encouraged that participants have one or more of the listed qualifications: Exercise science knowledge, movement knowledge, yoga certified, Pilates Certified, Fitness or Personal trainer instructor Certified, Studies in Dance, Exercise, Kinesiology, or similar, and/or have taken barre or ballet classes continually for over two years. The training will be led in both English and Japanese.

March 20-21-22, 2020. This 20-hour training (18 hours in person, 2 hours self-study)will provide specific tools to support participants to facilitate trauma-sensitive movement using forms of hatha yoga and breath practices that are vital to the healing process of complex trauma. The training
will emphasize the core components of the practice and process of trauma sensitive yoga, and how they relate to any anti-oppressive and trauma sensitive methodologies of treatment.Find out more »
Thursday, April 23 - Saturday, April 25. Whether you are a novice or an established dancer, Kumu Malia’s guidance will encourage full immersion in the cultural background, techniques, inspiration and foundations of the much-admired Hawaiian Hula. Create a true connection with the heart of aloha and the land of Hawaii through its unique traditional dance. No prior hula experience necessary.
