In this five-week series we will explore the 5 koshas and also the 5 vayus taught in the ancient yogic texts. Put simply, we will experience meditation focusing on each of the koshas including the material body, the breath or pranic body, the mental body, the wisdom body and the bliss body. We will begin with a simple introduction to the 5 bodies and the 5 vayus (or winds) and then actually experience each of these bodies as we work through simple mindful breathing exercises shifting our awareness to each of these layers in ourselves. This practice is deeply relaxing and also very engaging as we begin to develop discernment about our consciousness and levels of awareness in the body. The practice is very simple and accessible for all levels of skill. No prior experience required.

She has also presented mindfulness, yoga, and movement offerings at festivals and gatherings such as Beloved, Flowstate and the Northwest Permaculture Convergence.

Welcome to Meditation for a Healthy Peaceful World, inspired by a recent talk given by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, about resilience, compassion, and the science of healing during these times. In his talk, the Dalai Lama spoke of the Oneness of all the 7 billion people on the planet. 

He spoke of a healthy peaceful world.

For the next 5 weeks, let us focus our gaze, intention, and our hearts on the future of One Humanity, for all 7 billion people on this beautiful planet. Each week we will work through a guided heart-opening meditation with the Healthy Peaceful World as the focus.

The Gayatri Mantra

Aum bhur bhuvah svah

Join us for this specialty meditation guided by our instructor from the American Northwest, Miku Lenentine via our new Zoom room online!

In our sessions we will connect with Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion. As we journey through a guided 40-minute meditation, we explore different aspects of the Goddess as she dances at the Center of the Wheel: breathing in and being with the movement in the stillness and the stillness in the movement. She dances at the center of All Life and models for us how to do the same in our own lives. She invites us to move from and with light, love and compassion in each moment, as conveyed in her bodhisattva vow:

“Never shall I seek nor receive private, individual salvation. Never shall I enter into final peace alone; but forever and everywhere will I live and strive for the redemption of every creature throughout the world from the bonds of conditioned existence.”
