Increase your energy organ health, flexibility, mental and hormonal balance by practicing Qigong. Qigong is an ancient Chinese art of promoting health and wellbeing of body and mind. The qigong masters cultivated energy for longevity. You learn to draw in, conserve, recycle and circulate your internal energy through the pathway of your meridians and energy centers. The body’s many energy channels serve as its wiring which guides the life force to nourish the organs and glands. In this workshop, we will learn to circulate Chi.Qi or Chi means vital energy or breath, similar to prana (Sanskrit) and mana (Hawaiian), and Gong means to cultivate. Qi is the power/ life-force behind our movement and mentality and the rest of nature. Qigong is the health basis of every good Asian martial art technique.
The Western lifestyle can drain energy rapidly, and you are not able to replace it by food alone. The Microcosmic Orbit is one of those special exercises that is reported even to heal spinal injuries. The Microcosmic Orbit Meditation helps you to get in touch with your Chi flow and correct weak spots or blockages. This exercise will help you to use your life force efficiently. We will also do exercises from Iron Shirt Qigong, Primordial Wisdom Qigong as well as ‘Lying Down Qigong’!
Eva Alewa Geueke has been a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner for almost 30 years. She came to the Feldenkrais Method® as a young professional dancer and it changed her understanding of brain, body, movement and therefore, herself forever.
Since completing the 4-year Professional Feldenkrais Training in 1987 she has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method® internationally in thousands of private sessions, week long seminars, many hundreds of week-end workshops and evening classes.
Eva loves to teach and share her knowledge and love for conscious movement to help people to improve and excel in all areas of their lives.
Eva is also a teacher of Contemporary Dance, Qigong-Universal Tao of Mantak Chia, a IAO healer, a Capoeirista (Brazilian Martial Arts) and a choreographer. She also teaches Authentic Movement and Wave Continuum, a spin of Continuum Movement.
