May Day is Lei Day in Hawai’i! Join our school of hula, Na Hula Ola Aloha, and celebrate Lei Day through music and dance. Kumu Malia’s hula dancers will make your heart sing! Many of the dances have been choreographed by Kumu Malia herself, others have been passed down traditionally. Students range in age from preschoolers in keiki halau to the gracious ladies in our Aloha Friday Hula Classes. Dancers will perform in both the ancient kahiko and modern ‘auana hula styles.
Because of the many dancers, space is limited. Please pre-register to guarantee your place.

Your $10+ donation gratefully received
Each year, Kumu Hula Malia Helela chooses a theme for all hula classes taught at Still & Moving Center. This year, it is gratitude for family. Just as we string flowers one after the other onto a common thread, our hula dancers are flowers that are joined by a collective gratitude for family and tradition.
Our students range in age from preschoolers in keiki hula halau to gracious, silver-haired ladies in our lunchtime Aloha Hula classes. The groups will perform both traditional and modern styles of hula.
The halau will greatly appreciate your generous donation of $10+. This event is a hula fundraiser for travel and costuming expenses.
