Lu Jong, also known as Tibetan healing yoga, is an ancient series of movements developed for self-healing. With this easy-to-learn practice we are able to release blockages on the physical, energetic and mental levels of the body. After working in the fitness and health industry for over 25 years as a fitness/aerobic/Pilates/nutrition expert, Sandy found herself searching for ways to help her clients on different levels than just the physical body. Becoming an amazinGRACE healer enabled her to bring changes to the physical body while working with the energetic and emotional body.

While she was grateful for these new tools she had gained, she knew there was still something missing… until she found the practice of Lu Jong. In the level 2 workshop of Lu Jong you will learn the 5 body parts movement. Each movement is beneficial for a specific part of your body, starting with the head and neck, followed by shoulders and arms. Next comes the upper part of your torso, followed by the lower part of your back and ending with the hips and legs.

After learning these 5 exercises you can keep your daily practice of the 5 element movements in the morning and add the 5 body parts exercises on to your morning routine or do those in the evening.

We will also dive into the traditional Tibetan medicine and Buddhist philosophy a little deeper. We end the workshop with a mindfulness meditation.

in this 3 hour workshop you will learn the first 5 movements of Lu Jong, all done in a standing position and working mostly with the spine. Called the 5 Element movements, they will help you to connect with nature: earth, air, wind, fire, and space.  To understand how Lu Jong works inside your body, we’ll also touch on some of the principles of traditional Tibetan medicine.

Over 8000 years old, Lu Jong comes from Tantrayana and Boen traditions and is rooted in traditional Tibetan medicine. In this view, disease is a result of an imbalance of the elements and the humors (vital substances) in the body. By combining form and movement and utilizing the breath, Lu Jong gently opens the body channels to release blockages and mobilize misdirected energies. By harmonizing the elements and humors in the body, Lu Jong thereby improves physical health, mental clarity, energetic vigor.
