The eyes organize the spine. They can help it to turn better and become more elongated. Eyes, neck and back are intimately connected.
The potential benefits of this seminar include better eyes, improved memory, good posture and more mobility in your entire spine. Eyes do not have to deteriorate when you get older. Glasses are not the cure for bad vision; They are merely a good crutch. If your eyes don’t work as well as you want them to, you can improve them and your spine with these wonderful Feldenkrais eye lessons.
The Feldenkrais Method® is a very advanced approach to body-mind integration and healing. We learn to re-pattern our movement as we develop awareness of how our brain and body co-function while moving. Feldenkrais Method® share many of the same principles and techniques with qigong. These movements are simple and gentle and can be repeated at home once you learn them.
The Feldenkrais Method has given Vivian relief from pain and has helped her to empower others to take better care of themselves. Vivian is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais PractitionerCM. She was a gifted educator at Kahala Elementary and also tutors and teaches classes for children and adults in creative arts, ecoliteracy, and lindyhop. Both Feldenkrais and Qigong agree that for our Chi/Energy to flow well, we need to drop straining and striving and apply awareness and breath. The similarities of Feldenkrais Method and Taoist understandings of the body allow for the two practices to enhance each other greatly – whether on our feet, on a mat or in a chair.
In this workshop you’ll find the right alignment of your spine for the energy centers in your body to naturally open. As you gain an easy alignment of your spine, feet and knees, your standing and sitting become simple in any situation. Your back feels better. You enhance any meditative practice, whether sitting, in Tai Chi or Qigong, etc. If you do not know anything about Tai Chi or Qigong this may be a good intro.
Dr Feldenkrais, a black belt judoka in France, applied abstract eastern concepts into a palpable western method of moving that enhanced his judo and helped him to overcome a serious knee injury.
