We invite you to join us for our 7 Year Re-Birthday, our most significant event since we opened!
Enjoy a star-studded evening of performances by Still & Moving Center’s faculty and guest artists from the community. Help us recognize local charitable organizations.
Al Harrington of Hawaii Five-O fame will bless the occasion and beloved musician Mihana Sousa will set the mood.
Delight in personal tours of the art of Sooriya Kumar and Patrice Federspiel.
Cast your gaze back over an amazing 7 years of joy, healing, community and magnificent accomplishment.
The evening will include pupus and birthday cake!
Reservations HIGHLY recommended for this special event.
Join us for a splendid celebration of our 6th birthday! In addition to birthday cake – of course! – enjoy our aerialists dancing and dangling on their colorful silks, with Megan Rhoden and Kezia Holms’ students. Sue Bells, at age 72 will be aptly performing to the song Unstoppable, and the keiki will perform Kids Roar.
Watch our new martial arts teachers demonstrate qigong and axion sword techniques! We’ll get a glimpse into Linda Awana’s new Sticks & Stones Zen Implements class. Yogi David Sanders with his students will demo the grace of yoga alignment in motion.
Enjoy our keiki hula halau and our lovely hula ladies dancing both the contemporary ‘auwana style and ancient kahiko styles. Murat Demirtas will mesmerize us with his Turkish belly dance while Dayl Workman dances American Tribal style, and with a little luck we’ll see Willow Chang’s belly dancing as well!
Of course no Still & Moving Center celebration would be complete without everyone joining into some joyful Nia moves. Please join our party!
