The Maasai Tribe in Africa is known for its elegant, long, erect posture. They can walk for many miles without tiring, keeping their ease and bounce. The beauty of their posture is the ease, no shoulders back or tummies tucked in. Their uprightness comes from a clear, inner skeletal alignment where muscles are free to act and not hold unnecessarily. Posture is often misunderstood and artificially forced and unbalanced. Such posture can adversely affect eyesight, thinking, mood, bones, joints and ligaments and the optimal functioning of organs. A well-aligned spine significantly contributes to your overall health.

The spine, housing the nerves of our spinal cord, connects every part of the body with the brain. Health of our bodies depends heavily upon health of our spines. Back problems can disrupt our health in many ways. A healthy, functioning spine promotes whole body wellness, with accompanying benefits to our emotional wellbeing and our ability to think clearly.

The Feldenkrais Method® is a very effective approach of Body-Mind integration and healing; it uses re-patterning through developing awareness and exact knowledge of brain and body co-functioning during movement. Qigong shares many of the same principles and techniques. These movements are simple and gentle and can be repeated at home once you learn them.

evaEva Alewa Geueke has been a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner for almost 30 years. She came to the Feldenkrais Method® as a young professional dancer and it changed her understanding of brain, body, movement and therefore, herself forever. Since completing the 4-year Professional Feldenkrais Training in 1987 she has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method® internationally in thousands of private sessions, week long seminars, many hundreds of week-end workshops and evening classes. Eva loves to teach and share her knowledge and love for conscious movement to help people to improve and excel in all areas of their lives.

Eva is also a teacher of Contemporary Dance, Qigong-Universal Tao of Mantak Chia, a IAO healer, a Capoeirista (Brazilian Martial Arts) and a choreographer. She also teaches Authentic Movement and Wave Continuum, a spin of Continuum Movement.
