The years of adolescence are the transitional phase from childhood to adulthood, when teens undergo dramatic changes in the body and the brain.  This period brings up issues of self-esteem, identity and independence, which can make it a time of awkwardness, difficulty, as well as tremendous curiosity and self-discovery.  For most teens, peer groups and outward appearances become very important.
For these reasons, Still & Moving Center has designed a holistic approach to teen health and wellness.  Facilitated by Educator Gloria Baraquio and School Counselor Cortney Harden, Turning Point provides opportunities for self-reflection, honest communication, creative expression, physical fitness, empowerment, and community service.
The workshop and retreat will challenge each young woman in a safe, loving environment to discover and cultivate her innate power and wisdom.  Students will establish deep friendships with their peers and mentors, and Still & Moving will offer follow-up sessions with the girls throughout the year.  Our intention is that this week of exploration becomes a turning point in their personal growth.Workshops include: (classes taught by certified teachers at Still & Moving)
