Learn how the art and practice of poi and hoop dancing can transform your life and your health! This journey is an invitation to awaken the fire within your soul and reclaim a universal sense of joy through playful and creative expression.
The power of dance combined with an up-and-coming practice known as “The Flow Arts” have captured the attention of many who have been introduced to it. During this series, students will have the opportunity to go deeper with the art of poi – dancing as a tool for developing balance, grace, and coordination that translates to other activities and day-to-day life skills to support mental, emotional, and spiritual wholeness. Re-discover the body’s innate wisdom as these unique flow art tools act as extraordinary teachers and reflections of what lies within. Students will also learn simple yet beautiful poi dance sequences to perform on the closing Fire dance ceremony and celebration night Apr 28 . Jinju will arrive 5:30 for anyone with individual questions or needs.
If interested in Fire and unable to make this class, privates with Jinju are available and recommended.
Be prepared to engage yourself with joyful movement, smiles, laughter, heart & soul.
Jinju Dasalla, PhD. holistic educator and guide, divine movement artist, master of joyful inspiration, is truly unique in the world of personal growth and relationship coaching. Dr Dasalla employs an exquisite blend of art and science in movement, healing and contemplative practices to transcend limiting beliefs and create new, inspired ways of living and being. Her classes, workshops and private coaching consistently bring forth elements of joy, play, compassion and curiosity.
After earning her doctorate in neuroscience from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 2006, Dr. Dasalla has continued her training through multiple programs including Landmark Education, Newfield Network’s accredited coach training program, Magis Group’s OPS ™ certification program, and the Nia Technique. What has provided one of the biggest breakthroughs for her own personal healing and empowerment, however, are the movement and dance arts. Specifically, the art and practice of poi and fire dancing had become a vehicle for much unexpected healing and transformation and she now shares the art as part of her practice. She currently offers workshops introducing people to the powerful neuro-therapeutic benefits, and the unique self-expression that comes with engaging this quickly growing exercise and meditation practice merging play, movement and dance to create what is known as the “Flow Arts”.
