Kirtan with Anandra and friends is a heavenly experience of call and response mantra chanting set to Indian classical ragas and refined tabla rhythms. Learn something deep and profound about the science of mantra. Chanting these beautiful, ancient, uplifting mantras can have the effect of cleansing the mind. Subtle movement and tips to make pronunciation easier will enhance your experience.

Many people who have tried other methods of meditation unsuccessfully will often find that mantra meditation works most consistently to achieve the meditative state. Rewiring your thought patterns is an essential step in any lasting, integrative healing process. Raising your vibratory rate catalyzes transformation and new potential. Mantra yoga is a singularly effective tool for both tasks.

We begin the saturation in sacred sound with call-and-response rāga singing on the Sanskṛt vowel of ānanda (bliss) shakti, Ā… then sing the names of the Beloved in simple melodies, gradually building to ecstatic intensity. When the rāga has reached its fullness, we dissolve the sound back into the stillness of the void.

Join us… Discover the worlds within worlds of each musical mood, within each mantric syllable, and release the nectar of your own uniquely sweet devotional voice. Beginners welcome.
