August 13 and 16 – 4:30pm.
Flying, dancing, playing and exploring. Aerial dance is a safe and exciting for children to learn self awareness, focus and endurance. Here we will twist, turn, climb, invert and hang to learn about ourselves as we develop coordination, balance and strength. In an era when playgrounds have been stripped of most opportunities for children to challenge themselves and learn where they are in space (proprioception), the Aerial practices return to children this valuable experience.
Student should wear tight-fitting; no zippers or metal; under-arms covered. No jewelry. And remember your water bottle!
Zoe is 17 years old both in age and years of aerial experience. She quite literally has grown up in the circus world. As both of her parents are accomplished Cirque performers/creators, she began training as she took her first breaths. By age seven, Zoe was practicing intensively every day. Zoe has passionately continued aerial arts because performing is where she feels comfortable and happy.
One of Zoe’s greatest loves is teaching aerial arts and helping others to enjoy it as much as she does. She trains and teaches at The Aerial Studio in Ventura, California which she has helped her parents build. Zoe has mastered most traditional aerial apparatus with a massive vocabulary of skills and solid foundation in technique. She believes progressions are critical to success as an aerialist on any apparatus.
