This workshop for aerial yoga students that are new to transitions in aerial yoga will focus on developing the practice into flow. We will break down some of the more challenging transitions and practice a variety of movements that will build strength and flexibility to make the transitions more comfortable. The practice of aerial yoga can bring a shift in awareness to every edge of your body. With continued practice the student will have a more refined sense of proprioception. We will complete several sequences with a variety of transitions, further developing the off the ground aspect of the practice. We will maintain continued attention on balance, strength, flexibility and focus.
Wendi Lynch is a RYT-200, Unnata Aerial certified yoga instructor, having been a devoted student of yoga since 2002. She is continually expanding her knowledge of the architecture of the body and how it relates to the poses and the hammock. After falling in love with the trapeze arts in 2008 she naturally gravitated to aerial yoga, training with Michelle Dortignac, founder of Unnata Aerial Yoga, in 2010. The de-compressive qualities of the practice led her to a fluidity and depth of practice she had not experienced before. www.aerialyogahawaii.com
