Back bending can be a challenge for many people, from yoga students to stargazers. And not all yoga classes teach students to move with the body awareness Feldenkrais engages us in. Learn here to safely perform a “wheel” without straining your lower back. This intermediate/advanced workshop uses the smartness of the Feldenkrais Method for you get into a backbend with ease, breath and ‘aha’. Learn to stop your brain’s insistence on tightening and shortening muscles in the back, wrists and shoulder girdle.

These back extensions will also benefit anyone who wants to counter hunching over, as we open the upper chest, sternum and collar bones.
