About: HMHB:The National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition was founded in 1981, prompted by the US Surgeon General’s conference on infant mortality. Six lead organizations established the coalition to improve the quality and reach of public and professional education related to prenatal and infant care: The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the March of Dimes, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the National Congress of Parents and Teachers, and the US Public Health Service.
Today, the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition is a recognized leader and resource in maternal and child health, reaching an estimated 10 million health care professionals, parents and policymakers through its membership of over 100 local, state, and national organizations.
Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawai‘i (HMHB) was initially established as a statewide steering committee and became a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization in 1992. We are a local nonprofit agency that is part of a national network of organizations and individuals committed to improving Hawai‘i’s maternal, child and family health through collaborative efforts in public education, advocacy and partner development.
About Streetlight Cadence: Streetlight Cadence is a four member vocal and instrumental group comprised of Jonathon Franklin (violin), Brian Webb (cello), Jesse Shiroma (accordion and percussion), and Chaz Umamoto (guitar). Often labeled as alternative folk pop, the band draws inspiration from many genres.
