Feb 14: Improve Pelvic Floor, Pelvic Power and Hip Joints! – Feldenkrais Workshop
In this workshop we counteract gravity, bad posture and incontinence. With a functional pelvic floor, you can increase your vitality, spine length and power. Our base is extremely important; the Pelvic Floor is a set of muscles in men and women that contains our digestive and sexual organs. Through life these muscles can lose their ability to contract and release again. When the pelvic floor pushes up, our whole spine will be pushed upwards. Upright posture becomes easier, the neck freer! We also address better position of the pelvis in action, breathing and healthy hip joints.
Feb 21: Diaphragm, Easy Breathing & Neck Tension Relief – Feldenkrais Workshop
Good breathing changes everything, as our oxygen is our primary source of energy, our lifeline, even before water and food. In this workshop you get to know your biggest muscle, the diaphragm, your ‘motor’ in the center of your body so well that you can move it with ease. The diaphragm and the musculature between the ribs will learn to work together so your ribcage frees up and your spine elongates. Your thoracic spine will benefit as well! Surprisingly, moving the diaphragm and the ribcage well can undo neck tension and immobility! There are a million benefits in proper breathing, including mental health!
Feb 28: Improve Eyesight, Atlas and 7th Cervical Vertebrae – Feldenkrais Workshop
Eyes are precious and important to our wellbeing. The muscles that move the eyes interconnect with the neck. With stress and age, those muscles tend to harden, diminishing the eyes’ ability to look near and far. These wonderful Feldenkrais lessons can change that. These 3 hours are a well-invested time to improve your eyes and detangle your neck. The 7th cervical vertebra, lowest in the neck, will be taught to ease the tension that it carries around. The atlas vertebra on which the head rests, can find its proper, healthy place and co-work with your eyes. This area is the opening to the brain stem and needs to move and breath. You will leave feeling brighter, more relaxed and with clearer vision. Some of these Feldenkrais movements can be easily repeated at home. Feel free to bring pen and paper to take notes!
