Unwinding Scoliosis & Other Spinal Twists – August 8
Walking Like a Maasai – Upright, Mobile Spine – August 29
The spine, housing the nerves of our spinal cord, connects every part of the body with the brain. Health of the body depends heavily upon health of the spine. Back problems can disrupt our health in many ways. A healthy, functioning spine promotes whole body wellness, with accompanying benefits to our emotional wellbeing and our ability to think clearly.
The Feldenkrais Method® is a very advanced approach of Body-Mind integration and healing that uses re-patterning through developing awareness. Feldenkrais is based on exact knowledge of brain and body co-functioning during movement. It shares many of the same principles and techniques with Qigong. These movements are simple, gentle and can be repeated at home once you learn them.
Each of these Feldenkrais® workshops is designed to give you enough time to immerse yourself into the specialized area of the spine and surrounding areas. You may very well experience often a big improvement of your wellbeing right after the first workshop. By taking at least 3 workshops, you give your system an even better chance to change old, dysfunctional habits and learn new possibilities to improve in all areas of your life, not just physical.
Eva Geueke completed her 4-year professional Feldenkrais Training in 1987, which changed her understanding of brain, body and movement forever. She has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method® internationally for 25 years in private sessions, 5 day seminars, hundreds of weekend workshops and evening classes. Eva is a Qigong teacher of the Universal Tao school. She is inspired to share her knowledge and love for conscious movement to help people to improve and excel in all areas of their lives.
