Experience some new/ancient healthy practices for supporting strong immunity and stepping into summer with good health. According to the science of ayurveda, in the Pitta season (summer), our nervous system can experience agitation, feelings of dissatisfaction, over reactive emotions, and perfectionist tendencies. Our bodies may suffer poor digestion, skin irritations, exhaustion, etc., exacerbated by the heat. Ayurveda suggests calming and cooling practices, such as yoga Nidra and gentle flow during this warmer time of the year.
You will learn ayurvedic methods for people of all three constitutions (Pitta, Vata and Kapha) to thrive in the warmer months of the year. Set yourself up for success by learning to apply daily practices upon rising and before sleep, food choices, meditation suggestions, breath work, and more.
As a cooling practice, Yoga Nidrā – a guided lying down relaxation – counteracts summer heat. It help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is associated with the rest and digestion. Just as we nourish our body with the food we eat, we also nourish our nervous system with relaxation techniques.
In yoga Nidra we can experience a deeper than usual state of physical and mental rest. It is a simple way to reduce stress, release any held emotions and explore what we need in the moment. This powerful guided technique fosters a calm mind to elevate the soul.

Taking yoga with Paula gives her students a deep feeling of participating in something sacred and good for the soul, beyond just a healthy physical activity.
Paula started finding her Yogic path through the practice of asanas. In 2015, she encountered the “Bhagavad Gita” which led her to a deeper understanding of what Yoga truly is. Her lifestyle of study and practice incorporating Vedic scriptures, kirtan, asana, and meditation, which all brought her to sharing her experience through teaching.
After completing her 200RYT at Rishikul Yogshala in Rishikesh, India, Paula took her 36hr Yoga Nidra teacher training with Mary Bastien, Jennifer Reuter and Brenda Kwon. She completed Restorative Yoga Level 1 Teacher Training with Chanti Tacoronte-Perez. All the while she continues to practice under the guidance of her primary teacher, Yogi Charu.
