1st & 2nd of the 8 limbs of Raja Yoga: 1st Yama and 2nd Niyama – Observances in general life and personal life: the “yamas” include non-violence, adherence to truth, non-stealing, celibacy and non-possessiveness; the “niyamas” include contentment, austerity, self-study and surrender to the divine within.
The Margas: Bhakti yoga is the path of devotion and deals with surrender to the source and the annihilation of personal ego. This is the most commonly followed path as it is a great overlap with the religions of the word.
