Anti-Scoliosis & other Unwanted Spinal Curves – A Feldenkrais®/Smart Moves Workshop with Eva Alewa Geueke
August 26, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Sun Aug 26
This workshop helps your spine to untwist, to realign, and to self-heal. We use the sophisticated movement sequences of the Feldenkrais® Method and Eva’s Smart Moves to re-find spinal health, regain your range of motion and undo tension and pain.
In the course of this workshop, you will learn easy and gentle movements to take your health into your own hands. Instead of being adjusted or treated time and time again by others, you can now learn what it is that causes you discomfort, tension or effort, and learn how to avoid it.
As there are hundreds of Feldenkrais lessons, THIS workshop IS DIFFERENT from PAST SCOLIOSIS WORKSHOPS. You will no doubt be doing Feldenkrais moves that you have never done before and receiving their unique benefits.
Students appreciate Eva’s sincere care for their health and excellence on every level. Her range of personal experience in various moving art forms and her understanding of the workings of the human body in motion are both vast.
Eva Alewa Geueke has been a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner for 30 years. She came to the Feldenkrais Method® as a young professional dancer and it changed her understanding of brain, body, movement and therefore, herself forever. Since completing the 4-year Professional Feldenkrais Training in 1987 she has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method® internationally in thousands of private sessions, week long seminars, many hundreds of week-end workshops and evening classes.
Eva loves to share her knowledge and love for conscious movement to help people to improve and excel in all areas of their lives. She taught Yoga Aerobics® in NYC in the 80’s. Eva is a teacher of Contemporary dance, Qigong-Universal Tao of Mantak Chia, a IAO healer, a Capoeirista (Brazilian martial arts) and a choreographer. She also teaches Authentic Movement and Wave Continuum, a spin of Continuum Movement.
