Kids are fearless of movement and childhood is the perfect time to get them moving in the air! This fun and safe class will teach children the basics of aerial silks dance. Kids will learn hanging, flying, spinning, cocooning, and many basic aerial silk movements and poses in both hammocks and silks. This class can increase coordination, balance, and concentration. All classes will contain a warm-up, skill teaching and practice, an improv, and stretching. Kids will learn choreography and perform it during our Global Dance Cafe on the second Saturday of the month following their series.

Heather Booth

Heather Booth first learned the art of trapeze and aerial dance in 1997 in New Orleans, and she’s had a hard time walking on the ground ever since! Heather owns Miraas Aerial, a Denver-based aerial studio, where she spent four years as Creative Director and Lead Instructor, teaching aerial silk/fabric, static trapeze, lyra, and aerial yoga to adults and children.
Heather is excited that she now lives in Honolulu and is part of the Still & Moving Center! Trapeze video
