A Word from the Director

You can go to one book and find a beautiful quote every day of the year. The Still & Moving Center Almanac provides inspirational themes and words of wisdom from people of all times, places and walks of life. The tone set by those words may start your whole day, your week, even your year on a potent vibration.

The significant days and holidays on the Almanac pages are intriguing and educative. You become something of a global citizen by knowing when Chinese New Year, the Indian Festival of Lights, Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and Hanukkah are all celebrated. There’s lots of space to fill your daily calendar events into the space. Informative nutritional and health aids are at the back of the almanac.

Why is using the almanac important to me? Women and men throughout the globe and over the millennia have shared incredible wisdom of the heart with the rest of us. Their words sink deep into my consciousness and bubble up when the need arises in my daily life. I begin each day by using a jewel of insight from the almanac as the basis of contemplation. The theme thought for the week clarifies my perception of all the major events that take place within that week.
