Contact Improv & Ecstatic Heartbeat Dance with Eva Geueke
September 15 @ 7:15 pm - 8:45 pm
Contact improvisation is an international movement art where two or more people dance together sharing physical contact. Through contact with another dancer you gain many more movement possibilities: partnering, rolling, lifting, pushing, pulling and guiding.
➢ Enjoy receiving a wonderful moving massage + great yummy stretches.
➢ Receive ‘bone love’ through healthy pressure on your skeleton
➢ Learn to flow and soften in your body
➢ Learn to be free and non judgmental in your dance
➢ Learn to trust yourself and others
➢ Learn to move from and with your center
➢ Learn playfully to be present and aware
➢ Learn to listen to yourself and your dance partner -lead and follow
➢ Have space to be playful, creative and spontaneous
Eva makes Contact Improv very safe and welcomes free, ecstatic dance as well. All ability levels welcome. As this is an improvised dance form, you can choose to move slow and gently with your partner or make it more acrobatic and athletic.
The space is safe with other like-minded people who choose dance as one of their favorite ways to keep balanced and healthy in and out. No prior experience needed. Just wear comfortable clothes that make you happy!
Eva has been a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner for almost 30 years. She came to the Feldenkrais Method® as a young professional dancer and it changed her understanding of brain, body, movement and therefore, herself forever.
